Pair of Vintage Metal and Brass Wall Lights

Pair of wall sconces attributed to Maison Arlus. Black metal bases with gilt stems. Decorated yellow glass columns. Beautiful pieces.

These metal and brass wall lights are attributed to Arlus, the Paris house that was one of the four great French lighting editors of the 1950s to the 1970s; it worked with designers such as Pierre Guariche, Joseph-André Motte, Pierre Paulin and Alain Richard, and was known for its sober, refined lines in lacquered metal and brass. This pair from the 1950s is a beautiful example of that production.
