Marcel Guillot

Marcel Guillot (1910–1985) studied at the École des Arts Appliqués à l'Industrie in Paris and gained early experience at the Manufacture de Sèvres before founding his own workshop, first in Paris and later in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. He was among the first French potters to use an electric kiln.

After the Second World War he co-organised the first Salon des Céramistes d'Art de France in 1949, which became the Salon des Ateliers d'Art de France, and was its president from 1963 to 1971.
